Almstube is located in the middle of the skii resort with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. We visited it a couple of times during our stay and were having food and/or drinks there.
The service was mostly good with some slower service when it got really crowded.
The food at the place was very good, they do not have a big selection but everything is quite tasty with solid portions.

We had a double room with shower and toilet, including half board. The room was clean and we had a beautiful view to the slope and the Kornockbahn.
The staff was very nice and helpful. All the meals were prepared beautifully and I couldn't say anything wrong about them. We purposefully avoided the busiest time periods during the day so whenever we were there for a meal or a drink, it wasn't too busy. Otherwise, it is crowded and probably a worse experience of service, which we didn't come across.

Really nice place

Long weekend at the middle of the slopes

Exstremly expensive for what we got. "Gulas supe" was bolonez minced meat with no liquid. It should be soup with pieces of meat and potato. "Apfel strudl" was sooooo smal ( 2,5 cm) and not tasty ( too big pieces of aple inside) but price was 7 EUR. We ate in many Austrian ski restarants, but we always got beter food, for much lower price. 

To expensive for what we got

They were unprofessionals, unorganized, and rude! Really rude! 
You can see the lack of management!

The place is full of dirty table , our busy table so we sit one of the dirty one.
They try to give tableservice which obviously they could manage! 
After 10mins we had to catch our waitress to order drinks. And ask for foodmenu.. We got 1menu between 4. Fine.. 
During our stay different waiters constantly coming to our table to give us different drinks and food what we did not order.. 
We had to catch the waitress after15mins to order food. 
To find to toilet was a real mission. 
No sign anywhere, I asked 3different server about it they all pointed in the nothing. And at the and got really angry with me when I asked guiding because I was running round and round.

When I got back to our table still no drinks arrived.
We actually had to stop the waiter to tell him that those were our drink. He was asking every table who ordered.
All the 4meal we ordered arrived in different times, and with these too , we called to server to our table. Not to give our food to someone else.
Food wasn't great. Schnitzel was way too oily,chips cool, kasespecel was max OK. I didn't asked the other about theirs. We were really tired and hungry so we ate them.

When I asked the bill, the waitress try to give us a different bill, with all different items on it we hadn't order. So I helped her to summarize. When I wanted to pay by card she asked me to go inside to pay.
When I got inside I was waiting at the PDQ station for 15mins when I stoped one of the waiter, call Bernie.
He was giving me such an attitude, told me off how he could know what I had order. When I tried to explain the situation he stopped me and almost shot on me. (The type of person who should not work in service industry or with people) I really thought he was gonna punch me.
I just wanted to pay my bill.
After my waitress found me and ask to wait a bit. 
This was the moment I really wanted to leave without pay. Lucky them she got back in time. So I could pay.
At leaving I found the manager in the bar. So I tried to give my complaints. Obviously he had know ideal what was going on in his own restaurant.
He was surprised and the only thing he could offer me is he was sorry! 

There are a lot of great restaurant at this skiplace , I tried a few.
Don't waste you time, money and energy this this one!

Terrible service and rude staff. We waited too long, and when we pointed out a mistake in our order, they were dismissive instead of helpful. Definitely not coming back. Unprofessional and disappointing experience. Avoid this place !!!!
