Familienhotel Bruckwirt

Bruckwirt is a family run (Family Steininger) children's hotel. Reaching the hotel by public transport is not recommended because the postbuses don't run that regularly in the Muehlkreis area. Having a car at your disposal is the better option. However, if you're after getting away from city life, you can do without a car as there a wonderful easy 1 to 4 hour walks possible from the hotel. The hotel also offers plenty of parking spaces (at no charge). The hotel has all the games, toys and supervision possibilities a family hotel should and does offer. The playground shows its age, as do some of the toys in the playrooms, but all-in-all acceptable and safe. Having spent seven nights with half-board, I was impressed by the excellent service and friendly help of Family Steininger with all things from transportation issues to food and beverages. The hotel has brochures, information about sites to see and message boards with daily activities for kids and parents. The room we had (probably a classic room) was good enough for a family of four; bigger rooms were available. The WiFi was not useable in the guest house because of no reception. At night mosquitos feasted on me - if the hotel could add mosquito nets to the windows that would help. Food and beverages were good; vegetarian meals were offered occasionally. I enjoyed the different (Austrian)) beverages on offer: pumpkin beer, honey beer and refreshing lemonade drinks.
