Hacienda Mexicana

I'm not sure if Spittal and der Drau is large village or a small town, but for sure it's a nice place for a day or two. On my way through Austria i stayed there for one night, and i picked this hotel. It's a small b&b with just couple of rooms. It is by no means a 5-star place, but quality of service for the price i've paid was a very pleasant surprise. Rooms are large, clean, and well kept. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There was no minibar in the room. Free wifi was available. View from the room was over the flat roof (which is never good) and towards another roof, so in short: there was no view. Bathroom was excellent maintained, with no unpleasant smells, and no signs of mold around the shower. Breakfast was is served at ground floor, in area which is used in evenings as a Mexican restaurant. It's a small place so don't expect miracles, but choice of foods, serials, teas, etc. was much larger than you would normally find in small places like this. Staff was also very friendly. Place is also advertised as romantic getaway, but if i was you i would make a choice in advance: dinner at the Mexican restaurant downstairs, or a romantic night up at one of their rooms. Both together are not a good idea for all the obvious reasons. ;0)
