The chalet is located just outside a tiny village called Hof, gps highly recommended. Right next to the chalet is a horse and a cow farm, so fresh milk is a given for breakfast. The entire staff is Hungarian, very kind and hospitable people, they went out of their way to fulfill our wishes. The rooms could use a bit of upgrading, furniture felt old and used, but everyhting was nevertheless functional. There is a small pool, 3 saunas (finnish, steam and infra), a relax room to unwind after a day of skiing, and a play room for the little ones. Slide SC, the company that operates the chalet offers ski instruction and equipment rental at very reasonable prices, which we took advantage of. It makes the trip much more comfortable, not having to carry all the ski stuff in the car. There are many ski slopes in the near vicinity, which is great, because you can always find at least one resort that is shielded from the days’ wind, and has plenty of snow. The nearby Obertauern offers shopping and some niightlife for those not exhausted after a day on the slopes. We had a great time, we will probably return!
