Being from South Africa , we were one of the few English speaking people in the entire area- lots of German/ Austrian holiday makers and the entire area just feels very authentic . The best part- the lake- it steals the show! Warm, clear, amazing! We spent every day by the lake and found no reason to go anywhere else. The rooms: they are just OK- they have been redone and they have an amazing view- but could have been just a bit better for the price. Food- amazing breakfast, we actually always skipped lunch. The dinner was great, but my kids did not like it. Found out later we could ask for Chicken Schnitzel for example. Sauna- amazing! Pedal boats and SUP boards make the holiday sooo fun. WE would wake up early and actually swim across the entire lake and back (about 1800m) , sauna , change and go for breakfast- what a way to wake up. Most staff are very nice. We would love to come back- little piece of paradise.
