Lovely atmosphere, great service, very kind owners and staff, beautiful spacious room, clean, tasty food, excellent internet. Drinks during the day for AI-guests included. After skiing, coming "home", there was coffee and cake awaiting in a cosy room next to the open fire. Everything included in the AI-package. We really felt at home. At the tables around the fire people were playing cards, a little girl was colouring, others were chatting or checking mails. The atmosphere was family like, warm, homy, an eye for detail, everywhere lovely Austrian decorations. The owners, Mr and Mrs Entner, made an effort to make everyone feel comfortable and happy. The breakfast selection was good. Semmel and whole grain varieties. Coldcuts, cheese assortiment, sliced tomatos, cucumber, several kind of sereals, seeds, fresh, dried and canned fruit, yoghurt, warm omelet with every day a different warm accompaniment. A selection of marmalades, honey, different teas, coffee, juices, and I may forget more items. Have a look at the attached pictures for more details. If guests want they can prepare their own lunch package during breakfast. Even the bags for this were provided. Dinner was nice too. Everyday a different -always tasty- soup. Great salad buffet, too many items to name. Every day there were positive surprises. The main dish, die Hauptspeise, was good, I guess traditional Austrian. At breakfast we could choose which main dish we would like to have in the evening. Selection out of 2. We enjoyed every meal. For desert there wasn't much choice, however every day there was something different. Once warm pineapple with berries, once homemade ice cream, once some pudding with whipped cream etc. But to be honest, I couldn't have eaten more pieces of desert, because there wasn't much space in my stomach left either ;) The room we had was beautiful. Indeed there is no fridge at the room. But, there is no need for this. Because all drinks were included and served downstairs. There was a TV-set at the room too, but we didn't use it. We preferred sitting downstairs at the open fire. I read beforehand about the shower curtain. Indeed, there isn't a glass cabin, but taking in account all the advantages of this stay as well as the costs for the all-inclusive package, this little tiny detail shouldn't spoil the good feeling this stay will give. Bathroom is perfectly clean like everything in the hotel. Also in our room there was a separate toilet, so not included in the bathroom where basin and shower were. Another plus :) The location of the hotel is beautiful. Near the lake in a dreamy valley, with great mountains. In front of the door the ski bus for the Gerlitzen ski area stops. This ski area is fantastic. Usually everything is covered in snow. This time however (for the first time in many years) even in January there was no snow at all in the valley, nor on the mountains, see pics. Still the pistes were excellent. People from other ski areas came specially to Gerlitzen because of its perfect conditions. We loved the stay and can fully recommend it.
