Velden in High Season (mid-August) can be a challenge indeed: a packed lake front, extra-high prices and debatable service quality. With Hotel Ogris, we had made a lucky choice: their small separate bathing deck on the lake was large enough to easily accommodate all guests, who were in for a swim. The cleverly architected building combines the original house with well-designed extensions. Rooms are quiet and tastefully furnished with a touch of Fifties' elegance. The grandiose lake view offered from our room and its balcony almost made us forget about the large flat screen TV with its rich selection of digital channels. Service really makes the difference! Owners and personnel alike met us in the most friendly and helpful attitude. It was a pleasure meeting service staff at the breakfast buffet and order the extra fried egg - and this was mid-August! That's why we didn't take advantage of the wellness area / sauna that are also offered.
