Reitercamp Ortnerhof

We had a perfect January weekend at Ortnerhof, thanks to Silke's warm hospitality and cooking. We had four friends and two dogs, and the location was perfect for walking in the woods, or a short drive for downhill or nordic skiing. The main pension is beautifully renovated, large rooms, heated tile bathroom floors, simple wood furniture and balconies with views of the mountains. We especially appreciated the dog-friendly attitude. Silke's traditional Austrian snacks at the Hut were delicious (including Kaiserschmarren and home baked bread) and the traditional breakfast that came with the room was plentiful, with rolls, yogurt, cereal and juice. It was our first time in the Ramstau area, and we plan to return -- there is a lot to do, winter or summer, without a lot of crowds. And when we return, we'll stay at the Ortnerhof!
