Hotel Restaurant ORTNERHOF***

(I've last been there in 2013 but trAd wouldn't let me go back further than 2017) I quite literally spent almost all of my childhood summers in this Little Austrian village and have the happiest memories of mountain trails with the horses, cuddeling the kittens, midnight trips to the stables and loads of other small and big adventures. We only stayed in the Ortnerhof once (all the other times we stayed at a holiday flat nearby) and were still almost considered part of the family, always welcome in the stables, for a dinner or even just a little chat. I learned most of my horseback riding on their agile but sure footed and well behaved horses from the first wobbly steps on their riding ring at 9 yrs old to being allowed to go on a solo trail. I would be afraid to go back nowadays because I know it's different and not as I remember it but I can only highly recommend it for families who are looking for a place that offers a wide variety of both relaxing and active activities for adults and plenty of things to do for the little ones, which will entertain themselves most of the time. We don't even have to talk about the absolutly stunning surroundings. (originally from Germany but writing in English in order to get some English reviews in for this amazing place)
