23 reviewsMy husband and I booked this one night stop over on our trip from Italy to Germany. We picked this place based on the value (summer season we paid approx $80CAN for a small room). We had little to no expectations and we were completely blown away by the surrounding beauty, the hospitality of the owner (note: she only speaks German), and the value for money. They have a full blown wellness spa with different saunas and mineral water from the nearby glacier. We spend the afternoon here relaxing and were so happy to have a rest from our busy travels. The town was a short walk with a few nice restaurants and shops. The prices were a little high, but less than the over priced Salzburg. The room was very clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. The only sound we could hear was the River that runs through the town from the nearby Glacier. The town was hosting a traditional Tirolean show that night at the nearby FreiZeitZentrum. Advertising for this was minimum but we saw it on a large billboard. The show was free, you could purchase beer and drinks from the bar. The 3 piece band of 3 younger guys was amazing and they were joined by a local dance group. We drove to a nearby town for a cable car up the mountains and took the fun summer Rodelbahn down for a small price.The Rodelbahn was 2.5 km and took a good 10mins down, with beautiful views of the mountains, going through the Alpine forests and right through a mountain field of cows. We couldn't have been more happy with our short stay in Tirol and would definitely return for summer relaxation and hiking.
