We stayed with a large group of friends on a ski holiday; some of them have been coming here for years, though it was our first time. The Hungarian husband-wife owners greeted us like family. I don't think I've ever felt so welcome in a hotel or pension before in my life. I can't say enough good things about the Alta Vista. Breakfasts had a decent selection of hot and cold options. Dinners were hearty. The rooms are immaculate. Our bathroom looked brand new, it was so clean. The common areas are tastefully decorated and very clean and tidy. This is a true, family-run business in the best way. I wouldn't mind going back in the summer as well, if for no other reason than to take advantage of the large terrace with views of the mountains. Highly recommend.
