55 reviewsBeen to Hotel Engel many times now mainly for skiing but also for a summer visit. We usually fly from Dublin to Memmingham and drive to Mellau. It is a comfortable, homely Hotel in the heart of the village. We always find the owners and staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is prepared to a very high standard by the owner/chef with a good selection of fish, game and vegetarian options on offer, sometimes we need assistance to interpret the German menu but friendly help is never far away. Outside the door there is a regular bus service to and from the ski lift, (which is also just a short walk away) Across the road is a very helpful ski hire shop and nearby, our children's favourite, The SPAR Shop!
