Jagdhof Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2019 in a 2 bedroom suite (2 adults and 3 kids). The hotel was reopened in Nov 2018 after a few years closed, hence everything is new and well cared for. The room was great, with a tv in each room, kettle and tea/coffee, mini bar. Bed was comfy and mattress/pillows soft. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was lovely, we had tortellini and the kids had schitnzel. Menu choice was small but good quality. There is a nice lounge/bar area with open fire. There is a sauna and a few other wellness bits but we didn’t try them. Breakfast excellent, mostly continental style, but the bread rolls super fresh and there was porridge and scrambled eggs and frankfurters. There is a ski room to put equipment (with heated boot rack!). Parking good. The hotel is situated in between the 2 lifts, it’s 5 mins walk up the road to the nursery slope and the big lift and 10 mins walk down the road to the other lift/ski school meet point. Lifts are also accessible on a cross country ski path from the hotel which is flattish, especially easy to ski down to the ski school meet point. Good tip is the schneemankarte ski pass for kids under 10, 3 euros a day when buying an adult pass. We used the ski school at intersport and were very happy with the kids lessons. The kids want to come back again next year!
