I had an absolutely amazon stay at Hotel Alpina! The hotel is very clean, traditional, and comfortable. Max even came to the train station to pick me up and bring me to the hotel, which was a very pleasant surprise. The breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner were AMAZING! It was so much better that I expected. Full breakfast buffet with everything that you would want, and the dinner each night was literally a 5-course dinner. All the food was delicious. The room was both modern and cozy, a very nice mix of both styles. To get to the ski resort you simply take a bus, which stops just a 3-5 minute walk away from the hotel. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. It's very convenient. A benefit of being a little distance from the main resort is that there is a ski and boot rental shop by the bus stop, which offers lower prices than the main rental stores at the resort. You also get a ticket to store your rental equipment (skis, boots, and poles) at the Ski Depot at the resort, so that you don't have to carry them to and from the resort each day. That was a huge convenience! And you can get you lift tickets at the hotel. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend Hotel Alpina!
