Apollonia Appartements

We stayed as a group of 10 people in April 2014. We rented the large apartment "Oberlech" where 4 of us stayed in the semi-basement bedrooms. 4 others shared an apartment upstairs, with the remaining 2 in the double room adjacent to Oberlech. The rooms and bathrooms were all maintained to a very high standard. The location is fantastic. Ski-in/ski-out assuming there's reasonable snow, although some poling may be required down to the drag lift. Norbert is a slightly taciturn kind of guy but reasonably helpful, and Monika delightfully chirpy, although non-English speaking. Boot room pretty good. We enjoyed the bar-table "foosball" facility, and one of our number took advantage of the steam room. On the downside, it's a bit irritating to have to pay for the cable car up & down at the beginning and end of the trip, and we felt that payment for the car-park was a little unclear on the website. The lack of a proper oven and the ridiculously user-unfriendly halogen hob annoyed our chef, although we seemed to get by... Lech/Oberlech is a resort frequented by many rich people (witness the heights of the wine lists in the various hotels) although the supermarkets weren't too bad in terms of pricing (we did most of our shopping in a hypermarket in Innsbruck). The ability to prepare one's own lunch (either packed or returning home to eat) can save a lot of money.
