Haus Tannegg

Our family of four with two teenagers shared this new apartment for a week before Christmas. We were looking for a town that would definitely have snow before Christmas and Lech was perfect. Lech is a beautiful village, with Christmas market and gorgeous well marked walks as well as amazing skiing. Gerda was a wonderful host (she and her husband live in the first floor apartment) and each day made sure we were ok, giving us tips and local knowledge. The Schlosskopf lift is a very short walk for our morning and afternoon start/finish and the apartment is also right next to the local bus stop and the bus stop for the St Anton bus which we used to travel to the train on our departure. Our apartment "Rufikopf" had two bedrooms each with bathrooms, a full kitchen and beautiful full length windows to a verandah where we could watch the snow fall. Also just opposite the apartment is Intersport shop for ski rental and we also rented ski clothes. Hagen's Dorf (butcher and groceries) is also right opposite and they have a small but wonderful restaurant at the back, which we went to twice, fantastic simple but delicious home made food. We were able to cook at home and relax as a family. It's a super short walk to the bigger supermarket and other bars and restaurants. We had the best time. I wish we lived closer!
