Chalet Angel

Our visit brought together 10 old friends for the first time in about 20 years! Not everyone wanted to ski so Chalet Angel turned out to be the perfect location! Not far to the cable car, and we could pretty much ski back. For those not skiing, there were riverside walks close by and being in the centre of the village shopping or the village pools and recreation centre. Our room was spacious and comfortable with the bonus of a bathtub (a must after a hard ski!) The chalet has its own bar which formed a social hub for everyone. It even has its own sauna in the basement. Perfect! We found a gem!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ralph's Austrian mountain lodge with a group of 12 people, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The lodge's lounge area provided the perfect communal space. The highlight was the well-maintained sauna that offered a relaxing end to a long day of skiing. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in St Anton!

Chalet Angel is a wonderfully cosy abode with its traditional timber lined and furnished living/dining space and joy upon joy its own stube/bar! It’s ideally close to the Nasserein cable car, ski hire etc and a pleasant walk up town to St Anton’s restaurants and nightlife. Ralph and Maureen were lovely hosts

A short 5minute walk to the Nasserein ski lift,  Chalet Angel is a fabulous family chalet with super hosts who are warm and generous with their welcome, advice & tireless hospitality. 

Highly recommend this treasure!!

Great chalet in perfect position for our family group of 14 , aged 1-67 years. The owners could not have been more helpful. Very close to the Nasserein cable car & flat walk through the village to the other 2 cable cars. Most of the 6 bedrooms were spacious, 3 with extra beds. Plentiful hot water, modern bathrooms and crisp white towels and linen. Our group usually have a catered chalet but it worked very well to have our dinner delivered each evening by Catering Schwarz. We booked direct which was about £35 per head per night. There was so much food we couldn’t eat it all. 
If I looked for a criticism of the chalet I would agree that the hot plates took an age to warm up but it was a very tiny minus…..we would definitely recommend and re book.

We had the best time here with family & friends! Plenty space to cook, dine and knock up a drink or two. Very comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms and plenty of space.

3 minute walk from the nearest lift and plenty of great places to eat and drink near by if you ever felt the need to leave your own private restaurant & bar!

The best chalet ever! Two minutes from the lifts, really comfortable and well equipped and extremely helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, we got great advice for where to ski plus which were the best bars and restaurants. We also got great wine recommendations! 

Stayed at Chalet Angel with a group of 13 mixed ability skiers and boarders with ages from 21 to 75. We'd been to St Anton before - it's a great resort with good après ski and an enormous linked ski area. Although St Anton itself is probably best suited to confident intermediates and above, there are still proper learning nursery slopes (not far from the chalet) but if you are looking for long motorway cruisey blues you would probably be better off based in Zurs (if you can afford it or have a small dog in a designer handbag!).
The chalet is ideally situated - it's literally 100m from the main Nasserianbahn lift that goes straight up the mountain. From the top of this lift you can ski all the way down to the other main lift in town if you are plan to ski over to Zurs or Lech. The chalet is on the main street but it's not busy at all, and if you do have to walk back from the busy end of town it's nice and flat, and there are 4 or 5 bars from the centre of town on the way back home.
Chalet angel used to be a traditional restaurant, and as such is a traditional wooden chalet with plenty of charm. The living area downstairs is spacious - a particular highlight is the original bar area which is great for a chat and a beer when you get in. We were self catering, and although the galley kitchen is well furnished equipment wise, it might be a bit tricky to cater for the whole group every night (we did it twice and eat out the rest of the time). By the main lift is a fairly swanky restaurant as well as a cracking kebab and pizza house so options for either budget. There is the option of having a caterer bring food to the chalet most nights if booked in advance - if we return we will look into this. 
There are two separate dining and eating areas in the chalet, as well a sauna and chill room in the cellar. The boot room is also a good size with heated boot warmers.
The Irish owners of the the chalet live on the top floor, and couldn't be more helpful if they tried. Ralph was full of recommendations for places to ski, drink and eat, and was also helpful when one of our party managed to accidently swap his board with someone outside a pub one night!
Overall I'd highly recommend Chalet Angel to the right group. As mentioned St Anton's skiing isn't for everyone, but the après certainly is and if your group likes the resort you'd be hard pressed to beat this place as a base. 

We travelled from New Zealand to bring in the New Year with a mixed group of family and friends. Staying at Chalet Angel made the trip. Upon arrival we were delighted to find out that St Anton is one of the higher resorts in the alps so we were extremely lucky to have snow during one of the warmest winters on record and good snow as well.

The Chalet has everything you need for self catering and entertaining with a cosy bar area, it’s a great spot for a private après-ski! The beds are super comfy and everything was spotless. 

The location is a 2 minute walk to the Nassereinbahn cable car, and 2 mins from ski rental shops. There is a delicious bakery just down the road, a great pizza takeaway on the street behind, and a shop across the way. The walk through town is beautiful where you can find all kinds of bars and restaurants.

Ralph and Maureen are fantastic hosts, giving you complete privacy but there to help if you need anything. Great to have local knowledge on what slopes to explore or restaurants to try. We had an amazing night at Thonys Barn with fab live music while we had dinner. The Galzig is another one to try! 

Amazing Chalet, great location, great skiing, great company. Will definitely be back!

A group of eleven (11) of us booked Chalet Angel for one week: 7th January 2023 to the 14th January 2023 on a self catering basis.  First of all the entire chalet is immaculately spotlessly clean, with excellent facilities. The rooms are large, with private bath / shower rooms and quality bed linens and towels.
The kitchen was equipped with great facilities (stove, grill, fridges, and dishwasher) which was really important as we were self catering.  The dining room and table are huge and comfortable with a lovely fireplace.  There is a separate (secure) ski storage area and Chalet Angel is three minute walk to the lifts!!!  It is also conveniently close to shopping and the town centre.  There is also an excellent sauna in the basement!!
The only thing that exceeded the comfort and quality of the chalet was the friendliness and professionalism of Chalet hosts / owners: Ralph and Maureen, who were never intrusive, but were knowledgeable, helpful and available whenever needed.  Perfect hosts.

What a wonderful place!

Great base in a great resort.

I stayed at the Chalet Angel in Jan 2023.
The location of the chalet is amazing, within 100m you've got the main Nasserein ski lift, loads of restaurants & bars. (Plus Ski hire shops if required.)  I loved the Kebab shop around the corner for a quick cheap snack (Pizza, Kebabs, Burgers and they also sell beer..!)  A Spar shop is around 300m away on the main high street, this shop will sell everything you'll need for your cooking/breakfast.
The bedrooms are large and have enough space for your luggage.  They're clean and tidy and warm.
The bar area and dining room are nice and everything you would expect them to be.  The kitchen is rather small and would be rather challenging to make food for large groups. A couple of the stove hot plates didn't warm up enough to cook off, it would have been really handy if there was some instruction/info as it took 50mins to cook some sausages on the first morning.
I found the sitting area small and slightly uncomfortable due to the 'church pugh'' style seating.  Plus they've installed a massive three-tier basket hanging from the wall, this item takes up valuable sitting space and can't be moved.  I would suggest that the owners remove it.
Ralph the owner is absolutely lovely and very helpful. I will also mention that the owners do live on the top floor of the chalet and have access via the main door and stairway, this is a self-contained flat.  Visiting patrons will generally be unaware of them, however some patrons might prefer more privacy.
