Gasthof Veitenhof Kaisertal

We have stayed in Veitenhof several times over the past years. There has been consistently high standards of hospitality, with great food and a friendly welcome at all times in this wonderful family run hut. The location is approximately 30 minutes from the start of the walk into the Kaisertal valley, so a great setting off place for a tour. The Veitenhof combines the true feeling of being in a hut far into the mountains, with great creature comforts of cosy beds, warm shower, and a breakfast platter which is second to none and will set you up well for your walking.There are also kids games and books, and a high chair for the little ones. There are also occasionally special dinners and breakfasts. We participated in one celebrating the harvest festival which left us stuffed with wonderful traditional Austrian fare. The food is locally sourced, organic, and freshly prepared. We originally stayed in the Veitenhof after the neighbouring Pfandlhof cancelled our reservation at no notice, which turned out to be good luck as we would now never consider staying anywhere else on our trip to the Kaisertal. Highly recommended.
