Excellent food personally recommended and cooked by the host. Old recipes redefined, specialties (also exceptional) prepared from barn, forest, meadows and water with love and great service. How often our family celebrations and meetings with friends and acquaintances are shy for reasons such as this.

Cooking with Love of Food

The map offers many culinary excursions to the Omas Kitchen as it used to be on Sundays at home. The choice is very large and the food is freshly prepared and very delicious. The portions are more of the larger execution and very appetizing. The service is very friendly, knows the dishes and strives constantly for the guests. Really a warm recommendation for anyone who would like to enjoy the traditional Austrian cuisine.

Eat like Grandma.

I ate pork fat because it's very rarely found on a menu. They were excellent. The service was very friendly - it could have been a trail faster, but it was a lot faster (Sunday noon) In fact, the opening hours would only be until 3:00 p.m., then a break until 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, it says on the website that it's always open - this should be changed. But even at 3:30 p.m. guests were served, the staff was welcoming and bravely hid the overwork.

Good cuisine, friendly service

Everything we ordered tasted very good, including the goose, baked brain, baked crumbs and roasted liver. Even the homemade cakes were a delight! Price performance is perfectly fine! I'll be back!

Excellent.

We were at the Red Rooster with French and American friends today. We were very warmly received. The food was very fast at the table and it was very good. Good Austrian cuisine and also food that you rarely find on a menu. The portions were big. The facilities are just like they were when I was a kid. Please do not change anything because it is already retro and very comfortable. Our friends were very excited. And even vegan was cooked. Great! We will come back because the disgrace and the price were right.

It was all very hearty.

The tablets in front of the house promise more than the kitchen can handle. Although the service is friendly, it doesn't know the map and the food and drinks on offer! The next time you visit, I hope that this initial phase will get better!

I expect more!

Since the new acquisition, we have been highly recommendable, with the new team we have been very well taken care of, with old Austrian shrimp interiors, culinary rarities, perfect local fish dishes, all in all, a highlight, civic and affordable.

New operator best service

Three nights of nightmare for noise, a place with classic furnishings that's also nice but very dirty, spiders everywhere, dead insects, hair and dirt on the shower, unwieldy toilet inlaid, hopefully never to have to go back.

Weight

Stayed at Gasthaus Roter Hahn for two nights. We had two rooms which were not very clean. Showers had mold all along the sides, I just closed my eyes and showered. The toilet was dirty and I had to clean it myself with a toilet brush and wipe down the seat. Outlet above the sink didn't work. Dust and cobwebs in a lot of places. Had dinner there one night and two breakfast. The eating area needed a good dusting and vacuuming. Dead flies were around windows along with cobwebs. Regarding the location. It was next to the road and the train was across the street with a stop. The good thing is you could get into Vienna with this train but it only ran every hour.  The bad thing is all trains used this track so you had train noise until midnight. The positive were these: Host was extremely nice and helpful. He was also the chef and made great food. I think Gasthaus Roter Hahn has so much potential if they did a deep clean. It was located close to the Danube and offered a bike/walking trail along the river.

Has potentials but is just OK

The hotel is old... a little like the Soviet... but the rooms are very clean and neat. The impressions are still very positive. Breakfast is quite decent. For everyone, a hot omelette is prepared personally and a normal coffee is served. There is a restaurant at the hotel... where traditional dishes are served. In the common corridor there is a stylish. free parking!
