Pension Franglhof

This was an excellent last minute find on our recent ski trip in February. The Pension is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Kirchberg yet only a 5 minute easy drive from the Fleckalmbahn ski lift which has a large free car park and connects straight into the Kitzbuhel ski area. We had a spacious room with a mountain view from our balcony and en suite shower room – all spotlessly clean (towels were changed daily). The satisfying breakfast was typical Austrian – fruit juice, tea or coffee, cereals, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses, bread rolls with butter/jam/honey etc with a boiled egg if you wish. There is a basement ski room, free wifi and free parking. The family are all very friendly and went out of their way to help us when we had a minor crisis. The son speaks excellent English. There is a hotel within 5 minutes walk (the Landhotel Lechner) which serves very good evening meals. The pension might not suit younger people wanting somewhere lively, or those without their own transport, but it suited us perfectly. It was also very favourably priced.
