Landhaus Margarethe

Just returned from a two week ski vacation in the Tirolean Alps of Austria. I stayed in the Landhaus Margarethe while there. Online research led me to choose this establishment because it was on the smaller size, family owned/run, and right next to the ski lift. My stay could not have been better. After a nice drive down from Munich, I was met by Maximilian who is such a nice, friendly and industrious young man. I next met Markus and Frau Fuchs (I think), both of whom were such lovely folks. The entire ,staff of the LM were so wonderful and helpful. My room was a double with a balcony. Spacious, comfortable, everything worked, and emaculate are words I'd use to describe it. There was a small sized fridge in the room that came in quite handy as my stay progressed. Another thing I really appreciated was a good sized shower stall unlike other areas in Europe. And after long days on the slope, HOT water was always available. Breakfast every morning was included in the price of my charge. Someone commented on the daily selections being the same, and they were, but there was certainly enough choice daily for varied breakfasts each morning. I certainly appreciated the private underground parking so that I did not have to worry about my rental BMW being hit while in a parking lot or worse, parked on the street. The facility has a sauna and a small area for exercise equipment, neither of which did I use. I asked for a room kettle for tea and was provided with one promptly. Another perk I appreciated was the Hohe Region card provided with the stay. This is a card that will allow you FREE use of the train and ski bus as well as limited discounts in the region. My only issue was that the internet/WiFi tended to drop out especially in the afternoons. The remedy was simply to save my work frequently and re-sign into the system. This could've have been a simple issue of my machine and not that of the LM. Oh, one other thing concerning electronics, do not forget to bring a voltage converter especially if you're coming from the US or North America.
