This hotel is wonderful. Our room was huge and very clean, with a bed, wardrobe, desk, couch, two chairs, and still plenty of open space left over. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom spotless. This being a historic building, the rooms and common areas have architectural character, such as thick walls and vaulted ceilings. Breakfast was excellent. In addition to all of the best things you’d expect (fabulous rolls/bread, cheese, meat, fruit, coffee/tea, etc.), there were a few extras, such as chocolate covered strawberries. Eggs cooked to order. Well above average. The hotel keeper is a wonderfully friendly and helpful woman. She took time to get to know us and genuinely seemed interested in talking with us. We would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Hermagor.
