We spent 5 days with my wife, the place was the most discreet we could find, the room was very simple, but comfortable and very clean, the elderly paulina was very kind, with her husband, and her son, we received all the answers we expected, the last few days we needed, and on the last day we thought we would travel to Vienna, they cleaned the entire exit of the car that was full of snow, thank you.

What a lovely place.

Small family-run boarding house right on Unterberg. Very quiet location, about 6 min walk to the bus station. It's about 8 min walk to Unterberg. The bus connection is very good, every 15 min there is a bus to Salzburg. (about 30 min). There are a few restaurants around the Unterberg. There are no shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity. The hosts are very friendly and give very good tips for excursions, connection o.a. The room setup has been a little in the years, but there was very freshness. The bathroom is very clean. Unfortunately there were no separate showers outside, but we could shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was really good to eat. Each breakfast was really good to cook, and maybe even the cheese and eggs in this time of the year were really bad to eat.

Very nice boarding house right on Untersberg

The small village of St. Leonhardt near Grödig is located about 8 km north of Salzburg. By bus (there are two lines) or by bicycle you can easily reach Mozartstadt. The guest house offers simple and clean rooms with a balcony. It is located in a quiet residential area. The breakfast buffet is served in a room on the ground floor and offers a good choice.

Cheap and quiet alternative to hotel in Vienna

But I give it 5/5 for the friendly family running the place
Very low price, comfortable room with full balcony on  great mountain view.
Salzburg center is 35 minutes away by bus
Breakfast very basic grocery items but they serve boiled eggs and coffee, nesspreso, tea
Very suitable for children, they gave us baby crib and high chair at the breakfast table.
Plenty of barking space for free

Be aware, there's no elevator

Only complaint is that they only accept cash. I wish they would take credit cards.

Nothing more than basics

We had a very nice day in our room overlooking the impressive mountain. A very nice hostess and a successful breakfast. Very quiet yet short-distance connection to public buses and dirty restaurants. Very good price and very clean. Nice again - thank you very much.

Great accommodation for Salzburg and the surrounding area.

The hotel is located in the suburbs of Salzburg, on the one hand, almost in nature, the place looks rural, the elevator goes somewhere in the mountains, on the other, to the center of Salzburg only 15 minutes by car, and the third - to Berchtesgarden only 14 km. In general, the ideal place for radials. The house is old, and in smell it, unfortunately, feels, but this is probably the only minus. The room is large, comfortable, with a balcony, the style is a dark tree. The beds, of course, are just two made together, but it's Austria. Two chairs, a table, in the hallway a large comfortable cabinet with normal bathrooms.

A lovely country pension.

we were a couple and stayed for 3 nights durind May 2017.
I just happen to book this pension 2 days before our trip and i guess i made the perfect choice to be out of Salzburg city , not crowded , not so far from Salzburg(8km only) and around a great nature & Untereberg.
Unterberg is just behind this pension like a wall & awesome view - check the pic.
We saw all climates during our stay - sunny , cloudy & rainy and the view was great.
Pension rooms were good - no complaints. The owner was also very warm - though she does not speak english much but we knew a bit of Deutsch to communicate easily. 
Breakfast is just average not much of variety -  i feel a bit of scope is there to improve.
Internet Quality at my room was not that great as it was corner room.

That is all i have to say !!! We enjoyed our stay and would come back in future.
We had been to Wolfgang See and around also with car and it was very convienient.

Nice and affordable Property

The location of the inn is great because it is near the highway and not in the urban centre which means there is no traffic. It is only 6 km from the Salzburg centre. The room is spacious and clean and the bathroom is big and well equipped. The breakfast was nice and the owner was very warm and helpful. I would definitely recommend this inn. 

A very nice family retreat

Very good family boarding house. Much more than 2*. All in German quality. At home cozy. Lovely hosts. Lovely views of the mountains of Untersberg. Great breakfast. Our choice when visiting Salzburg.

I love this boarding house.

The hotel is at the foot of Untersberg and near the cable car station. There is a bus from near the house to the centre of Salzburg, but during the peak period it can take 40 minutes to get to the Mirabell garden. The room was spacious with a superb bathroom and a big balcony looking onto the mountain. Breakfast was nice. Wifi worked well. The owner is friendly.
