Hotel Gasthof Bauer

It was 11 years ago i stayed here and i loved it, it took a bit of googling to find it again but once i saw the lake/pond in google maps i knew this was it. looking at the photos brought back some good memories answer 1 not so good. if you look at the photo of the bar youll see cuts of meat hanging, they collect the dripping from the meat and when i was dipping my bread in mayo (pure animal fat) i nearly had a fit, other than that the food was perfect as well as the service. the Bauer family couldnt have made us more welcome if they tried, i remember giving there daughter some sterling coins as she collected money from around the world. i havent been back to Austria since but after finding this again its def on my bucketlist. you can be driving along sun shining, green all around then drive up the mountain abit and your in a winterwonderland. we stopped in a mountaintop restauant, got a beer and sat out on the decjking in our tshirts drinking our beer in the snow. if you are ever travelling to Amstetten or Seitenstetten then i highly recomend Gasthof Bauer, it is heaven on earth
