We were six friends going to Bad Gastein in week 9 2019. (March-April)
Landhaus am Hügel had everything we needed. Very close to the ski lifts and close enough to the after ski places in town to be convenient. 
Nice cozy atmosphere and very clean. 
Good breakfast included 
Highly recommended. 

We stayed 10 people in 1 double room (2 people) and 2 apartments (2 families of each 4 people) for a summer hiking holiday. This is a charming Gasthaus, with no extra luxury but just what we need and value - great location, clean, good beds and with the practical details in order. There was no soap in the bathrooms when we arrived but as we asked for it we got it immediately. We also could borrow extra towels for our visits to the Thermobaths when we asked for it. 

By foot we could reach some great hiking since we were neighbours with the lift. And we had walking distance to an other lift. Since we had a rental car we could also go to other hiking areas nearby. We could have used our kitchen to cook dinner but instead we visited the restaurants close by (the one in the house, Rossalm and Fischerwirt) which were good and very different styles. 

We enjoyed the stay a lot as the owner was very nice and service minded and helped us to find appropriate hikes and gave us hints and recommendations. 

We recommend this as a charming and decent stay for other families.
