Ferienhof Margarthengut

Initially we were looking at hotels on the lake, but the Margarethengut sounded so appealing that we booked the last remaining (small) apartment for our stay. It did not disappoint! On arrival, Mrs. Graf was very friendly and helpful and we settled in nicely. The farm is meticulously clean, organized and well maintained and we had a chance to meet the dairy cows in the barn. Much thought has gone into providing facilities for the guests, there are lovely picnic sites and lounge chairs, which invite you to linger and enjoy the fabulous views of the lake and mountains beyond. A network of walking trails connects to the farm and the Druckerhof restaurant (great terrace and views of the lake) is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Our Atterberg apartment included a table outside with a great view and we enjoyed breakfast and HH outside, as much as the weather permitted. Inside, everything was nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchenette is adequate for breakfast preparations. Also worth mentioning is the private lake front property (with parking!) reserved for Margarethengut guests with a picnic table and lawn area for sunbathing and swimming. It was a treat to spend some time on a working farm, and made me appreciate how hard these farmers work to make a living.
