Mittersteghof

We've been here several times for skiing holidays, in a self-catering apartment. Everything is really well-organised, cosy (= warm) and super clean. Apartments equipped with everything you need; modern design. Very friendly owner family. You can ski locally (Skigebiet Filzmoos, with the first lift just down the hill; you can ski down, but there's also a bus). We often go skiing in Zauchensee - Flachauwinkl - Kleinarl (about 20mins in your own car), but Schladming is also within reach. Three restaurants within 20-30mins walking distance from the farm (Geierhaeusl, Gsenghof, Neubergerhof, with the first two our favourites), but delicious and warm evening meals are also available on the farm several times a week if you book. If you book breakfast, you get a great buffet and also specially cooked dishes (eggs and bacon etc.); loads of products are from the farm (eggs, yoghurt, bacon, cream cheese, jam). Supermarket, banks, and petrol available in Filzmoos village. Great storage for skiis and boots, and there's also a sauna in the house. In the barn, there are ponies, cows, chickens, and cats to interact with. We've always had great snow when we were there; we love the skiing (downhill and cross-country) and the scenic walks through the forests, and we're now expert at making a snowman! We've already booked for 2025 and can't wait to be back.
