3 reviewsWe visited the Moarbauer farm in the village of Maierhofen for the first time in summer 2012. We were impressed by the location of a quiet village in the Gastein valley and the spectacular view of the 2,000 meter high peaks in the area. In summer you can enjoy the outdoor pool nearby or you can visit the surrounding peaks which offer hiking trails of all difficulties where you can find many friendly mountain huts. In winter the valley is transformed into a single ski resort, which offers fun on the snow for young and old. Moarbauer farm offers lots of fun for the whole family, from helping with the farm chores and care for the animals to the big playground for children surrounding the house. The children can simply not get bored here! But what is the most important is the openness and friendliness of the family Holleis, especially Mrs. Rosi. They offer delicious local food and very nice surprises like homemade apple strudel, a tractor trip to a mountain hut or simply taking care of our baby so that mummy can eat her breakfast in peace. I can say that we first arrived as guests, but every time we go back, we become better friends. I highly recommend!
