We stayed here twice in our motorhome rental. Once going to Hallstatt and on the return journey too. The place is great with a super easy-going outlook, without all the huff and puff that I associate with campervan sites. Our pitch overlooked the fields with the Alps in the distance and we were completely on our own to enjoy it. The owners have a tremendous restaurant / bar, and if you spend something like 30 euros a night the pitch is free including electricity and water! Basically that's something to eat, a couple of beers each and breakfast. Now that's a square deal in this day and age. I dare say prices may vary a bit so do check with them. Maybe the standout apart from the great view, the great food and the great beer is the uber genial host Klaus who really can't do enough to help with anything. No matter how much he has on his plate. At the end of our trip back to Vienna he deemed we hadn't had enough from him for our measly payment and he gave us "a couple of cold beers for your motorhome" Stellar. All the staff are very nice too so his attitude cascades through the organisation. We will definitely be back.
