Stayed here whilst competing in a race 30mins away in Weyer. Amazing setting and beautiful countryside locally. Typically stayed in by hikers and walkers. The building is fantastic, and steeped in history as an old hunters lodge. We opted in for breakfast and dinner during our stay and wasn't disappointed. The breakfast was a good continental spread with eggs prepared freshly for you. Dinner was traditional and always different, decided in the morning based on produce available. Staff at the hotel were polite and happy to talk to guests, without being obtrusive. Andrea, who was the chef, even plated me up extra, when she heard I was racing the next day. Would recommend for older couples, wishing to relax and walk in a beautiful setting.
