Haus Feuerstein

While traveling though Europe, I was trying to not stay with any of the big chain hotels. I was coming back to Germany from Switzerland and needed a place for six people (three couples). I found this zimmer online and since it was so reasonable we tried to give it a try. We arrived at about 7:45 PM and needed to get some dinner so we thought that we would have to drive back to the neighboring city that was bigger. The Owner of Haus Feuerstein suggested we try Ausflugsziel which was at the top of the mountain that overlooks the community, but they closed at 8 PM so we would have to hurry. I have never received such good advice from a hotel/motel owner or worker in my life. The food was amazing and the people did not try to hurry us despite the fact that we had not even ordered when they should have been closed. When we arrived back at the house we were staying in, the Owner made sure that we had everything we needed and helped us get online. This family puts enormous amounts of time and effort into making sure you feel welcome while renting out part of their home. I would definitely stay here anytime I am in the area. Although this property is not a "budget hotel" it is not expensive. I felt more welcome here than I have when spending $450.00 a night on fancy/trendy/luxury hotels. This hotel only cost us $45.34 per couple
