It's a pretty nice hotel, it's a little outside the city centre. So very quiet, parking space in front of the hotel. Very nice reception. Room was okay. There's also an elevator.

Nice hotel just outside the center.

The rooms are fine. It is a 5-minute walk from the centre. The reception is friendly and friendly. Breakfast is also plentiful. The next time I come here, I will book this hotel.

Recommended hotel

Hotel in a good location about a 5 minute walk from the town centre. Busy traffic road outside as it's a main road into town, but didn't keep me awake and I had the window open at night due to the 30+ degrees temperature.

Single bed in single room with en suite shower. Room comfortable, shower okay. Aircon was an archaic box that effectively didn't work. 

Breakfast was included, but I would rather it hadn't been. Modest array of cheese and cold cuts, rolls and cereals. Eggs had to be boiled yourself in a boiling pot, or fried yourself on a hot plate. Scrambled and poached didn't seem to be an option. Coffee passable, but again, nothing to shout about.

Essentially, it was adequate, but don't expect any frills apart from the wi-fi, which was strong.

Functional but fine

We stayed here during a Euro hike Holiday.  The hotel is very dated.  Apparently had some recent renovations and our sink as well as the tile in the bathroom looked new.  The shower head was broken and had to be hand held (reminded me of my camping days!).  The room was clean and comfortable enough.  The worse part was that our window opened over the patio area.  At night you could hear people talking as if they were in our room and you could smell the smoke of their cigarettes coming through the open window.  It was too hot to sleep with the window closed.  Those people were talking and laughing loudly until midnight at least (I was finally able to fall asleep, so I do not know exactly how long,,,)
The breakfast was ok.  The yogurt was good.  There were choices of cereals and rolls as well as cold cuts/cheese and the possibility to make an hard boiled egg.  The coffee was good.  The dining area is very quaint and the table cloths spotless.  A lady who could have possibly been the owner kept the breakfast area very neat.  No one was particularly friendly, but this is something we have run into several places in Austria and it did not surprise us.  
I think there have to be better places to choose from in Bad Hischl.

Would not stay again

During a several-day hike, we stopped in Bad Ischl. Due to the generally positive reviews, we booked the Hotel Stadt Salzburg. The reception was friendly and uncomplicated. The hotel's facilities, and the room was then very calming. Two single beds, instead of a double bed, in the room smelled like smoke (both are non-smokers), and the noise of the street was noticeable at the open window. It was very hot and sticky in the room. We then spared ourselves breakfast (although included) and went to the coffee shop.

Well, that's not what we hoped.

Nice hotel with a family style, rich flair, clean, tidy and well-run, friendly staff, very thoughtful, affordable service, rich breakfast buffet, warm kitchen and bar in the evening, small beer garden, right in the centre and spa.

It's great accommodation.

It's perfect for the 80's-trained German hiker's nest, a cotton breakfast cake, a slice, a marmalade from a plastic cup, and unfortunately, the lazy coffee that's also common in the Austrian coffee country.

Between Emperor and Muck Fuck

The hotel is very cozy inside. Very nice welcome. Nice room (looking at the back because we were afraid of the traffic in the front but no problem with the quietness). Very good dinner and excellent breakfast. Initially, delivery of Mozart chocolates sold in Salzburg. Thank you for the kindness of the various staff all with little care.

HOTEL NEAR the city centre

Don't rely on the exterior appearance of this hotel. The interior is more friendly. The charming reception, beautiful room (looking down on a small street because we were afraid of the traffic on the facade). Good restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The price of the set is very correct given its situation. Very appreciated and free parking.

3 NEARS the town of Bad Ischl

Enough parking right in front of the hotel. A large, comfortable, quiet room, although located right on the driveway. A friendly reception. A fine and rich breakfast buffet equipped with everything you want. With a few steps you are right in the beautiful city centre. Optimal for travelers on the way.
