Jägerwirt

We had a wonderful week’s holiday staying at the Jagerwirt. We booked through TUI after finding a great late deal. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming and we were very impressed with the speed of checking in a large amount of guests! We had a great room (358) with views of the mountains on two sides and although the bathroom was a little dated the shower was great with plentiful hot water. We were definitely fed well with a buffet breakfast and a 5 course dinner each evening. I am vegetarian and there was a different choice for me each evening and despite a mix up on the buffet evening leading to no vegetarian main course for me, I still had plenty of choice from the salad buffet. My husband had a choice of 3 main courses and thoroughly enjoyed all his choices through the week. The only downside was the WiFi (we couldn’t get a signal in our room). We have stayed in Kitzbühel before and it is a fabulous base for exploring the area. We bought a 6 day hiking pass which was great value at €68 (saving us over €100 on cable car fares) and walked over 60 miles during the week. It’s such a shame the hotel is closing as we would definitely have returned.
