Hotel Hochfilzer

Having already stayed at the Hochfilzer in 2020 , this time we stayed in the Flora Hotel just a 2 min walk from main hotel. Newly refurbished to a very high standard, super clean, great beds, massive walk in shower and underfloor heating. Two balconies with picture windows of the mountains. Friendly staff focused on our care, reception were very informative in the booking process. I have dietary issues which were catered for, even arranging for yeast free bread to be put on our table each breakfast and evening mealtime. Although all the staff we encountered were helpful and professional, a special thank you to Patrizia at breakfast (she was especially helpful with advising of a local GP), Goran in the restaurant/bar and Isuru and Andrea on reception. We booked half board. Breakfast was great and the evening meal is high restaurant quality and all home cooked. Ski Bus right at end of the drive and you can walk across the road to access some lifts for Going area. Large Ski room with heated boot holders. There is a small wellness area which incudes a sauna which was very welcome at the end of a days skiing. We were unfortunately ill for a couple days in our stay. While they do not offer room service it was not wise for us to attend the restaurant. Without hesitation they created a room service box of food for us and the even made sure they presented this as a nice experience. Given the main hotel restaurant for evening meals is 300m up the road this was definitely above and beyond. We could not have been happier with our second stay at this Hotel and personally preferred the Flora being a smaller and quieter experience.
