Gasthof Pension - Café Konditorei Hassler

This was my second time here but my family is coming here for years. They stayed here over 10 times probably and they are still enjoying it. ROOMS The rooms are all different. They provide single, double and even family rooms with connecting doors. Rooms at the back of the pension (with balcony) have the most stunning views over the valley. I could sit at the balcony and just enjoy the surroundings for hours. All rooms of course are ensuite, some even have a separate toilet from the bathroom. You can connect to the internet (Wi-Fi) on every floor. BREAKFAST Breakfast is OK. You can choose for cereals (3 options), bread (3 options) and several spreads (different options for ham and cheese). They even make fresh fruit salad. DINER You have the option to take half board, however than you have to choose between the 2 day menus. I like to have my options wide. They have quite a large menu offering pasta's, pizza's, local dishes, meat, fish, ... Every week (in summer and if the weather is nice) they organize a BBQ, mostly on Wednesdays. The owner is a baker and makes the best cakes. They also make their own ice cream. SURROUNDINGS Berg im Drautal is situated in the heart of Carinthia. With the best climate in summer of Austria you could enjoy the best holiday. You have a large open air swimming pool in the village (free access if you stay at the Hassler Pension!) or you could choose from a bunch of activities in the environment: paragliding, rafting, hiking, canyoning, climing, rodeln, ... I enjoyed my stay very much and I will definitely come back! I would certainly book it for its price. We paid € 35.00 per person for bed & breakfast.
