We booked a three-night stay for the Gourmet Escape and wanted to be central for shuttle buses. Elkamo was perfect! Literally opposite Settlers Tavern and the IGA, plus equipped with a kitchenette (bar fridge, kettle, microwave, and wine glasses!) and spa bath too. The king bed was huge and comfortable, and the room itself was spacious. We’d read some reviews that mentioned cleaning was an issue but our room was great on arrival, and housekeeping visited promptly each day. We could hear a little noise from nearby venues on Saturday night (but hello, you’re in the town centre!). It wasn’t an issue at all. Only minor downside would be occasional patchy TV reception and limited stations. But no-one comes to Margaret River for that! Thanks Elkamo - will stay again.
