Clean. Very tidy. Has everything you need. Comfy beds. Friendly bugger of an owner. BUT, this is not a hotel. So you clean after yourself. Take your rubbish out and vacuum the flat. For the price we paid, it was worth it. The sea was just across the road, and there was a lot of groovey places to eat. It is a bit noisy if you are in the front, though. Otherwise, a little neat Aussie with no flies on 'im.

Perfect location for Hervey Bay for a good price. Walk across the road and you're at gorgeous Scarness Beach. Foodstore, restaurants, coffee shops within 5 mins' walk. The accommodation is basic but clean and has everything you need (unless you need luxury). The managers are friendly and keep the grounds, including the lovely pool, immaculately. Only downside for us: the air-conditioner didn't really work. But on the whole, If you are a low-maintenance person you'll have a great stay at this easygoing place.

I stayed at the Kingfisher Court and received very friendly service. I booked one night prior to visiting Fraser Island and another night after my return from Fraser Island. The owners very kindly allowing me to leave my car in their car park behind the hotel. They were very helpful filling me in on the best places to eat and places worth visiting.
The buildings were not brand new but the apartments were clean and well cared for and had all the conveniences you would expect from this type of budget hotel.
I would have no problems recommending this hotel to anyone.

Unbeatable location, good value

A good place to stay.

We have stayed in hotels in different parts of the world and in Aus and it is the first time we have been asked to vaccum and take out the rubbish or be charged a cleaning fee.
The people running the place could only sit outside the office and smoke.
The place is very old and needs refurbishing, not worth the money better places to stay.

Poor.

I accept the hotel was old and a budget hotel but it didn't have to be grubby - and it was...  Hotel owners sat and smoked and drank coffee on the porch and then asked guests to vacuum and empty bins before they leave - it makes you wonder what the did. The refrigerator could have walked out on its own!!!!
