Hakata Inn Guest House

This is a perfect alternative for everyone who does not need to stay at a "regular" hotel. Pros: very close to the airport (15-20 minutes by car, depending on traffic), pick-up / bring service upon availability at a reasonable price tag, really big, fully furnished (with attention to detail :) rooms with big, comfy beds, heating (yes, it was cold during the nights), one room with balcony and view over the bay, big lounge to hang around, fully eqipped kitchen to use, overall 3 (?) bathrooms. Of course you can lock your room, you get 2 keys upon arrival: main entrance + room. So you can come and go upon your own convenience. Very quiet location, i had a very good sleep. Wake up calls by cockatoos :). Fast and FREE WIFI available, very good cell-phone reception. Many shops and restaurants in walking distance (incl. Mc Donalds, 7 Eleven etc.....). Who might be interested in scuba diving: Dive Shop 5 minutes walking (that was my primary reason for first stay) away. Bus-station to Metro 3 Minutes walking away. Time to down town (circular quay) by public transport: about 1hr. Easy to do. The bathrooms are "shared" but that was not a problem at all. Super nice, friendly and helpful managers (thank you again, Rika :)) You get a VERY good value for your money, i enjoyed the stay very much. I stayed here the first 2 nights of my NSW trip, and then i liked it so much so that i decided to stay here the two nights at the end of my trip as well. Highly recommended, whenever i visit Sydney in the future, i will hopefully find a room available there...:)
