Murdoch University Village

I stayed here for 4 nights (attended a course nearby) in a single room of a shared apartment that I had to myself most of the time. Everything was clean an new, spacious and functional. Paying a bit more per night allows to stay in the "newer,modern" short stay building, my room was facing the pool area. My expectations were met except: above my bed was a window and the blind did not cover it adequately, the very bright security light mounted outside was illuminating my room way too much. Next time I would try to book a room facing the road due to that. For a shared accommodation the noise level was OK (might be different in summer) next time I certainly would opt to bring a Sleep mask and Earplugs. Free, ample parking ! Be prepared to walk a bit from car to room with luggage (and to carry it upstairs as the building has 3 floors with no elevator) The apartment would be great for a group or family, too. Close to railway station, shopping centre in walking distance as well. All in all: I would have given 5 points if the window coverings would keep light out for a good nights sleep. Other than that: great alternative to "conventional" hotel.
