Very comfortable.  Well maintained rooms. Excellent bed.

We had stayed here a couple of years ago and had very fond memories so decided to go with what we know. Weren't disappointed. We had a king room, bed was gorgeously comfortable, bathroom newly renovated, and the aircon worked a treat. The weather was so hot, but the aircon allowed us to sleep peacefully. Warm welcome by Anne; off road free parking; free wifi; crockery & cutlery; toaster, kettle & microwave; privacy blinds on windows. 

Had a lovely couple of nights at Tropicana. Very helpful host and clean and tidy facility. The kids loved the swimming pool and we loved being able to walk to the beach and the shops.

Had a lovely time staying here, the rooms were lovely, bed comfortable and everything clean and tidy. The pool was also well maintained and very nice! The member of staff we spoke with was very nice and accommodating, if we are in the area will definately stay again or at one if the others in the chain.

Just a really nice country hotel. Clean and comfortable, and quiet.

Throughly recommend this place. Clean and close to shops

This is our third stay at the Tropicana Motor Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the price for our one-night stay was very reasonable (lower than two other nearby motels we use in Cowes). The Tropicana is within walking distance of the main shopping street and the pier. We arrived a tad early (no problem) and were upgraded from Queen to Family at no extra cost. One slight negative, the bed was on casters and disconcertedly moved when you hopped on, but apart from that it was a great stay.

Pleasant surrounds, not far from central Cowes.

Visited Phillip Island and the Penguin Parade and did not want to drive back to Melbourne the same night so stayed at the Tropicana Motor Inn. Well located within walking distance to the shops in Cowes and central to the attractions on Phillip Island. Motor Inn is in quiet side street and so no noise to worry about. Good size room with comfortable furniture.  Good rates during quiet winter season but appears to book out during summer and when bike races are on.

Fabulous, friendly & comfy

Lovely stay

Room is very very clean though old. Bed was perfectly made, linen is super clean& crisp. Room is of good size for 2. Crockery/ cutlery/ microwave/kettle all there if u need. Dish soap/ hand soap/ bath soap/ shampoo all there too. We made use of the room for just a very short time. We spent the night to avoid driving back to Melbourne after the penguin parade. Dedicated parking lot for each room.

We wanted and got a clean, well-equipped motel for a great price

Pleasant stay

We stayed for one night after watching the penguin parade. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was bigger than expected and clean. It was nice to have a microwave, plates/bowls and cutlery in the room. The sink was right outside the bathroom which was handy. Our parking space was right outside our room which was very convenient.

Basic and clean motel room

My wife and I recently spent two nights at Tropicana Motor Inn Cowes.  We had booked a Queen Room but were given a twin room.  The motel is located a couple of blocks from the shopping area on a quiet street.  Check in was quick and easy.  The room was quite large and the bed comfortable.  The room includes a microwave, cutlery and utensils and has a separate sink for you to wash in.  There was lots of bench space in the room, as well as a table and lounge.  Washing up liquid and a tea towel are provided.  Parking is outside the units but the design has the bathroom at the front which limits the noise from other guest's vehicles.  The  bathroom sink is separate to the toilet and shower.  Some things for guests to note:
* While there are plenty of powerpoints in the room, they are not near the queen bed,
* The shower has a curtain rather than a door so some water does splash out under the curtain and wets the flood/bathmat,
* The complementary coffee is powdered International Roast,
* Rooms are generally only serviced if staying more than four days,
* The motel advises that if you book directly you will receive prices at least 10% less than through a third party booking site.

We enjoyed our stay at Tropicana Motor Inn and at $105 per night think it is great value.

Great value in a good location

Spotless room, good linen, good bathroom, great location - just 5 minutes walk to the cafe/restaurants/beach, good value for money.
We had a good night sleep, the room was warm and cosy.
The pool though was tiny, rather a model of a pool:) Still, would be probably nice for little kids to splash about. 

Cosy room

Nice lady checked us in. The only other contact was with a guy who I assume was the husband of the lady that greeted us at check in. I went to the office to ask if he had a TV channel guide. He said no and asked me why I was asking. I told him that I was looking for a channel that might have the local golf tournament on. He then asked me where I was from and how long I had been in Australia. I wondered what relevance that had to my question. I told him and he suggested that, basically my question was stupid, as in Australia there was no golf on TV....and there were only three channels that they had on their tv subscription. I left, thinking that he seemed rude and condescending and I was going to be unable to watch the golf. When I returned to my room, I scrolled through multiple channels that were available and found golf on channel 92. I have no idea what the guys problem was but he obviously did not like my inquiry and had no clue as to his TV programming. I would never stay with them again, despite the nice room and great location in Cowes.

Stayed in a king room down the back of the complex and were so pleasantly surprised by our room. Absolutely lovely! The bed gobbled us up and we slept beautifully. Environment very quiet but within walking distance to the main road of Cowes where all the shops and restaurants are. Large room, big couch, newly renovated bathroom, even a little wardrobe area / dressing room. We were also made to feel very welcome by Mandy (thank you) and highly recommend all travellers give this motel your consideration if staying on Phillip Island.
