We had the Bluebells Cottage booked for a 3 night stay in November. The cottage is very colorful designed. The post bed is comfy and there is no shortage on pillows ;) There are many little surprises hidden in the design like wooden boxes and toys. We also liked the shots of port wine and enjoyed the bottle of bubbly wine. Unfortunately (?) the weather was so warm that we couldn't use the woodfire. The outdoor spa was very nice even though it wouldn't heat up at our arrival. All other days it was perfect. If we need to complain about something then it is the oven with the two hotplates. They take forever to heat up and are too close together to be used with both frying pans at the same time. A proper oven would be the better choice. The walk from Gembrook to Emerald via Cockatoo is also enjoyable. Just be sure you take your myki with you in case you miss the Puffing Billy on your way back ;) Check the schedule before you leave. All in all a very pleasant stay. Next time we would come in cooler weather and try the Harem cottage.
