Beach Motel Woolgoolga

I love this place. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The manager Ron (who looks like Elton John), helped me when my car broke down and carried all my luggage in the rain for me. The facilities are great and the rooms were very clean.

The Woolgoolga Beach Motel is in the best possible location right next to the water run by the very friendly and helpful Ron. The beds are comfy and the renovations are great. We have just told all our friends about this place and will definitely be back.

Those sea views are only 50 steps away!

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Beach Motel (September/October 2018) 78 Beach Street, Woolgoolga NSW 2456 | Phone: +61 2 6654 1333.

5½ hours drive north of Sydney.

Paid $460.00 total for the four nights.

There is a caravan park located right across the road and then the beautiful Woolgoolga Beach.

Plenty of shops right next door to the motel.

I have posted a few photos of the motel and surrounds.

We went to Woolgoolga for the annual Curry Festival (October long weekend) which is held right outside the motel – the street was blocked off at both ends and the atmosphere was terrific.

Although the motel is slightly out-dated, the room had everything we required and we will definitely stay there again.

Park your car outside your room.

All rooms on ground level.

There was a very comfortable queen bed and one single bed.

Room had air conditioning but we never felt the need to use it, as there was a nice ceiling fan we made use of.

Nice thick block-out curtains.

Good phone network coverage with Vodafone – the motel also offers WiFi.

Kitchen/Dining/Living area:

Nice little dining table with 2 chairs.
Huge mirror over an extra long dressing table.
Plenty of power-points in just the right areas.

Bathroom:

Fully height adjustable shower head with a massage head and good water flow.
Guest soaps provided, plenty of towels, full sized hairdryer.
Separate toilet with good quality toilet paper.
Small bin.

The Beach Motel is an older motel that has been renovated a while back and is now showing signs of wear eg paint missing. The room was a good size and contained a proper sink for doing dishes. The parking is tight, not helped by the room numbers being almost unreadable and the wood strips delineating the spaces being almost buried. There are no staff on site, everything is done via phone. We had trouble retrieving our key from the box but after making a call Jenny was soon there to sort it out – we were glad we hadn’t arrived in the middle of the night. However the motel is in a great spot opposite the beach and within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes. It was quiet overnight.

This Motel is close to the beach and in the middle of the shops. It was very quiet and the rooms were a good size. Each room had  its own parking space. The cons are it had no pool (it has been filled in) or any other facilities, The cost was on the high side and the biggest disappointment was that there was NO reception, everything was done by phone. Don't rush to book as it is due to be demolished and replaced by a Pub.

Great location right opposite the beach extremely comfortable beds lovely linen  bathrooms need a little attention close to cafes and shops close to Blue Bottles for breakfast . Highly recommend very affordable . A great park opposite

Our room was huge and so comfortable.  You can see that the management have made a huge effort to update this motel,  from what i would say was a 80s style. They've put in new tasteful furnishings,  new carpet etc and it's all been freshened up with a coat of paint. All in all it was really nice. Air con worked well too and the motel was so quiet. Only negative was the shower was a bit mediocre.  Maybe a new showerhead needed. 
The staff (particularly the cleaning staff) were so accommodating and friendly. 
The location in brilliant.  Right in the main street, across from the beach. A short walk to cafes, restaurants and cute little boutique shops too. We had a lovely time discovering them.  All in all, we had the best stay. Will be back. 



Stayed one night stopping over the way up the coast. This is a 1960's style motel in a great location just across the road from the beach with cafes and restaurants nearby. It is clean and the decor has been updated and is pleasant,  the room is large as is the bathroom, bed was comfortable, aircon works as does wi-fi    - but the bones of the motel are what they are - you park outside your door, and the fittings are of a different era. If glitz is your thing this is not your place.

We stayed in this excellent location in Woolgoolga close to the beach and cafes on the spur of the moment. The grilled barramundi and generous chips from Whitesalt close by were delicious for dinner. We then had the best night's sleep in a beautifully comfortable bed. 
The breakfast at Blue Bottles nearby is excellent.

Pleasant overnight stay.Quiet place very close to the beach.Well equipped.Pleasant owners.Would stay there again.👍Happy we chose this motel.Also close to restaurants,shopping centre..etc.Would recommend

We stayed one night and found the place clean  quiet and comfortable. Service was acceptable but the eftpos machine was not working and I was fortunate to have the cash. 
It is well located and convenient to all services.
A better alternative to Coffs Harbour. 
Has adequate cutlery and a microwave for a light meal.
The site may shortly be redeveloped so check first.
