So good we decided to move in permanently for 12 months. Although if you are staying next to us please keep the noise down as we often have to do night shifts and therefore need to sleep during the day. Thanks much ! :)

We stayed at Watermark in July. The overall ambiance, the management team, incredible, loved every moment. The views and proximity to restaurants, shopping etc so easy. Most of the clubs & hotels nearby run courtesy buses, that we utilised. The Penthouse # 9 is a must for families, or couples up to 6.

Well located in Hervey Bay with sea views from 2nd floor apartment.. Small complex. Spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen and modern furnishings. Quiet with lovely balcony to relax on and soak up the atmosphere of Hervey Bay.

Arrived in Hervey Bay for a 2 night stay and picked up the keys for apartment 6 from Derek, the manager, at The Bay, which is just down the esplanade towards Torquay. He is very pleasant and gave us all the instructions which were very clear and we never saw or heard from him again, as we didn't have any problems. Initially everything looked fine and upmarket but on closer inspection we found the apartment to be in need of some TLC. Don't get me wrong, it was clean spacious and suited our requirements but just needs a bit of an update. A TV in the bedroom would have been good. I can understand the pricing of $144 per night as the view is lovely. I liked the secure parking and noise wasn't a problem. Also found the beach hotel just down the road good for a drink and meal.

Really nice apartment

We have just finished a 3 day stay in unit 6 at the Watermark. Myself & my two boys visited Hervey Bay to attend a soccer camp. We chose the Watermark as it was advertised on booking.com as having free wi-fi & was close to the soccer grounds. As I am a book-keeper & it was a few days off end of financial year the wi-fi was crucial to our stay in order for me to get work done in the evenings. In fact as I had ended up booking directly through reception (& not booking.com) I emailed the manager, Derek, a couple of days prior to our arrival to again confirm that free wi-fi was part of our accomodation. Upon check-in we were initially pleased with the unit - it was spacious, well appointed, private & quiet with secure car accommodation. After a brief settle in we attempted to connect to the wi-fi only to find it wouldn't work. I immediately contacted reception who advised they would look into it. While contact was made late that same day to say that their tech was away until the next morning, I was still chasing an answer at lunchtime the following day. I was told that Telstra had advised it was a problem with the line & who knew how long they would take to come & look at the problem. Sadly I had not looked at earlier TripAdvisor reviews where others have had the same issue - no wi-fi as promised. While I appreciate Telstra issues can & do occur the likelihood of it being a recurrent problem is slim & if it was, why not make the effort to actually fix it properly? Possibly don't bother to advertise wi-fi availability...especially if it's not there. Our other gripes were the plug in the bath did not work so there was no chance of having a bath or spa which was something my soccer player had been looking forward to. The vacuum cleaner also did not work. Overall the accomodation was comfortable and our stay pleasant enough - sadly though the disruption to my work has left me disgruntled enough to write this review. I would not choose to stay here again as for the price paid the wi-fi should have been functional. It was obvious this issue is of little to no concern to management & Derek's unempathetic attitude was disappointing.
