Big Brook Retreat

Time & time again we find ourselves returning to this venue. We try others but invariably come away a little underwhelmed.
Big Brook Retreat is brilliant value. Tranquil, private , thoughtful appointments, spotlessly clean and warm hosts.

If you’re looking for a quiet battery recharge away from crowds, THIS is the place.

We were made very welcome by Libby and Darren who were kind enough to keep our booking open when illness prevented us going initially. This meant a lot to us at a very difficult time. The cottage was perfect and the outlook from the lounge enabled us to see a variety of birds that came into the garden and it was fun watching them use the bird bath ☺️ The retreat is very private and quiet and the cottage beautifully furnished with everything we  needed. It was a lovely healing space for my partner. 
We will definitely return and can highly recommend it.

Beautiful and quaint accommodation. We stumbled upon these lovely chalets by accident and booked only a few prior to our arrival.  The owners were so friendly and very accommodating.  The chalet was so lovely and the owners provided plenty of firewood and the chalet was fully self contained, it even had a bbq in the courtyard.  Very private with beautiful grounds a close to town.  Highly recommended.

Big Brook Retreat is THE place to stay in Pemberton. Owners Darren and Libby have gone to execptional lengths to make sure your stay is relaxed and comfortable.  The cottages are immaculate with the little extra touches that make your stay feel special. The location is only 6 kms from the Pemberton townsite and directly across the road to the Big Brook forrest. I will be back!!!

We spent the weekend at Big brook retreat in one of the single bedroom spa cottages on the property, 6 kilometres from Pemberton along Stirling road.

We were looking for a  nice quiet setting to chill and enjoy and we could not have wanted for more....advertises as an Adult retreat which was just what we were looking for and the cottages nestle amongst lovely gardens on the top of the gentle slope...very pretty and nice setting. The property is nice to walk around and its a short walk to Karri forest across the road which is beautiful.

The cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped....kitchen with all cutlery, plates, cooking equipment etc...The bed was very comfortable ( with electric blankets!) as were the lounge chairs in the sitting area, and includes smart Tv, good internet and portable bluetooth music player. Bathroom and spa is very good and incudes things like quality shower wash, shampoo etc.

There is a choice of reverse cycle air conditioning and a wood heater, with firewood provided....very nice ! There is an undercover area outside with table and chairs and  barbecue provided.

Thank you to Corrina our host for a lovely weekend. We highly recommend this property for a lovely relaxing place to stay and enjoy.

Have just returned from 4 lovely nights at Big Brook Cottages.  Beautiful clean accommodation with everything at your fingertips. Paul and Corinna so accommodating with nothing too much trouble. Loved the birdlife hopping around in the gardens. Will definitely return again.

The cottage we stayed in (no 3) was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and everything worked. The wood burner was a good example of its kind, being easy to light and easy to control, unlike some others we have experienced. It helped that the wood provided was nice and dry, kindling and fire lighters were also provided. The reverse cycle aircon kept us warm until the wood burner warmed up. The shower was of a good size and perfectly clean, unlike some other cottages we have stayed in. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The cottage design was excellent in that there was a carport area which you could reverse into and then be able to unload/load your car without getting wet. The views of the grounds from the main living area were splendid. We did have some wet weather and were able to sample one or two of the excellent selection of DVDs available free of charge from the office. Which brings me to my only suggestion - the TV is rather small by today's standards and could do with being replaced with a rather larger one if possible.

The cottage was very clean, well equipped, uncluttered and tasteful. Close to great walk trails and some lovely places to eat from cafes to wineries.

Total package was very impressive. We had a very relaxing time and we will be back.

Was very relaxing stay with everything we needed, surrounded by beautiful picturesque scenery with plenty of bird life to enjoy. Also was only a short distance to town which was very convenient.

A wonderful gem on the edge of the forest !!!

An excellent well maintained cottage in beautiful grounds.

This place has all the amenities you could wish for in a charming picturesque setting.
Surrounded by lush well-stocked gardens, overlooking a beautifully-groomed  valley with the majestic Karri forests behind it, and the townsite 5 mins away.
The cottage had all the home comforts and necessities, with luxury extras like the spa and the Nespresso machine (pods supplied).
It's the perfect place to weigh anchor and flop after some extensive sightseeing.
Host Paul could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and interested in making our stay enjoyable.  He gave us lots of tips on places to visit and how to get there.  It was a great experience that left us feeling so refreshed!   We'll be back.

There is a reason we, and so many, keep coming back here. You will struggle to find a better quality venue that takes as much pride & care as your hosts ( Paul & Corrina ) display.
Immaculately clean and thoughtful conveniences at every turn. 
Just 5 minutes of soaking in the forest view, quiet air and comfort of your cottage will convince you.
The perfect battery recharge.

Tranquil quality

The Big Brook Cottages are adorably picturesque. Well maintained and very clean with all amenities. Big Brook Dam is just across the road, with easy access to the walking trail. The town centre is also just a short drive away. The perfect, romantic getaway! Would highly recommend and cannot wait to be back again!!

Tranquil little cottages

Spent a few nights here - on arrival we were warmly greeted by Paul. Nice little touches - flowers on the table, fresh milk in the fridge, chocolate on the bed and even a scrabble and monopoly set! The cottage was spotless and nice comfy beds. Lots of bird life right outside the window and blissfully quiet. Lovely spot.
