Really enjoyed the food, which exceeded expectations. Also the live music was excellent.

Very groovy baby! I love it! And the rooms are really nicely done up - great bath and shower! And right by the beach!

A truly unique and special place! With equally special owners and staff. The rooms are up stairs, but they do have one fully accessible room. Each room is delightfully decorated to commemorate different musicians. Rooms have pretty good sound proofing, but it is still easy to hear the live music that plays at various times (lunch or dinner) in the Flow Bar downstairs. To really enjoy, book a table downstairs and enjoy a lovely meal or make use of the table and chairs provided on the verandah outside the rooms and order a meal to be delivered to your room. I attended on the Old Bar Festival (previously known as The Kombi Festival) which has run for many years on the Labour Day long weekend in October. With markets, live music, lots of amazing food and fun rides, there is something for every one! Spectacular aerial acrobatics from some scarily expert pilots and a parade of hundreds of amazing Kombis really are breathtaking and draw people from across Australia and beyond.This is definitely the right place to stay if you enjoy good music and supporting local and well known talent, good food and good people. The easy access to the beach, via a rainforest trail directly across the road, is yet another bonus. Booking well in advance is a must, because accommodation in Old Bar, and surrounding areas, is hard to come by on a whim all year 'round.

What a find! An amazing quirky but beautifully appointed space! 
Honestly in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney you would pay $600+ a nite! 

Our host Steve was amazing and we honestly couldn’t fault our room (Bowie theme 😍) Our room was just amazing, super Comfy bed and just so well designed. 

We stayed one night on a Monday so the bar/ restaurant wasn’t t open but we went to an amazing Thai in town called SAI, right next to Cole’s. The food was incredible.

Wonderfully styled rooms, comfortable bed, had such a great time. Stayed overnight here and had a sensational time. Had dinner and drinks downstairs on a Saturday night with an intimate stage and Mitch from Coffs brought such great vibes. This place is still being refurbished in places but is a total hidden gem.

What a hidden little gem.
This hotel is excellent
Lots of quirky features, record player in room, records all around the hotel that you can play.
The rooms are super large , but have a balcony that is shared
Bathroom is spacious but no door.
Steve the owner is very friendly and helpful.
Bed super comfortable and slept like a log.
Block out curtains make room nice and dark.
Beach is only 300 meters across the road.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone

This place is uber cool, Right from check-in the management was excellent. Friendly, professional check-in, with everything explained to us. A table was reserved for our family for dinner.
The rooms were excellent, as pictured. Everything was of excellent standard. Love that the rooms were all different. The manager gave me a tour of all the rooms not checked into and each room was unique and the decor and quality and cleanliness were exceptional. Very rare for a travel manager to check into a hotel and not find something negative.  
The explanation of all things in the area was also superb customer service. The pizzas and kinds of pasta were also top notch and the customer service again by the dinner service staff was excellent and so friendly.
We were there for an overnight before our son's soccer game, we all slept soundly and the beds and linen were all so comfortable.
The breakfast menu was awesome and loved the choice of small or large breakfast on all options.  the Avo smash with poached egg, lime chili, and coriander was to die for, and so was the Flow Benny with its mustard cream sauce!! The coffee and juices were so good. again could not fault the customer service. Right across from the beach, great verandahs to sit on and watch the world go by either i the restaurant on off your rooms.
We will certainly be booking again but for a longer stay, loved that you could just do the 5min stroll into town.

Boogie Woogie Wonderful Stay! We're coming back.

Such a fabulous and unique place. Each room has its own theme, is clean and comfortable and decorated with such detail.
The staff and management are warm and friendly and the food downstairs in the Flow Bar is delicious!!!
So close to beach and town and definitely worth stopping in and staying for a couple of nights.

Fabulous

Fantastic rooms, fantastic food, fantastic staff, fantastic location. We chose the Boogie Woogie Beach House for the location to spend a night with our adult children. Couldn't have chosen a better spot. We enjoyed a yummy meal and drinks on Saturday night listening to the live music (which wasn't too loud). The rooms were amazing, such fun! The next morning we gobbled up a great breakie before saying our goodbyes.
Highly recommended.

Great spot for a get together

Just off the highway, Old Bar is one of those little towns that you drive past most days. Not today for us. Stopped in and discovered a fabulously unique motel. Steve the owner was welcoming and happily showed us around and up to our room. Each room is individual and has its own musical slant. We were in the Nick Cave room, which features a huge tiled outline of him in the shower along with a record player, retro fridge and Apple TV. Lining the walls in the hallway is vinyl records you're welcome to take and play on your  rooms record player. 

The downstairs restaurant, Flow,  serves up a mix of traditional and local dishes made from locally sourced produce. We had tapas and highly recommend the arancini balls, but to be honest, all was good. We extra for breakfast to be included and like our evening meal, it didn't disappoint. They're also the only business in the area serving a decent coffee! 

The beach is literally across the road and offers a long walk either north or south with little or no one else alo g the way. 

Eclectic, comfortable and friendly.

We randomly chose this place for the unique name and the musical side of the description. We loved the names of the rooms - we had the Louis Armstrong room. The bathroom was huge. Also we loved the turntable provided and enjoyed listening to music we hadn't heard for many years- we even remembered most of the words of every song!

As the restaurant wasn't open for dinner, Steve suggested we try Luriya's Thai restaurant down the road. The food was very good and we loved every mouthful, haha. Thank you Steve for the recommendation.
Breakfast in their restaurant was perfect and tasty. 

We're already planning to return and enjoy the live music over a weekend.

Perfect place for our night stay

Stunning and unique rooms in a superb location just steps from the beach. We absolutely loved the huge outdoor balcony joining the two family rooms, comfy beds and spotlessly clean rooms. Staff couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great stay and the food and service at the Flow Bar restaurant was 5 star.
