119 reviewsWe stayed for a single night just a few days ago in a self catering Studio. Found it to be clean, bright, modern & extremely comfortable. Very comfy bed & linen awesome. Used the kitchen facilities to cook our own delicious evening meal so no problems with limited eating options in the immediate area. Local IGA near White Beach was well stocked. The owners pre-warned us that the water in sink, shower & toilet would be tannin stained and that a large container of fresh drinking water would be provided, which it was. It was refillable too! So I think if you choose to stay in the remoter areas of Tassie (or anywhere for that matter) in the middle of a severe drought you must expect that water supplies may be limited. Anyway the discoloured water was no drama for us & the drinking water provided was absolutely fine. The scenery on the Tasman Peninsula is quite spectacular and White Beach is a magnificent stretch of pure white sand with amazing clear aqua water, so enticing, very protected & safe. And barely another soul in sight, and on a Sunday! We travelled around Tassie for over 2 weeks. Parsons Bay Retreat was as good a place to stay as anywhere else that we overnighted.
