Has everything you need in the one spot - staff are excellent

Nothing was too much for the awesome people here . Best stay I’ve had in a long while .. great value for money . Get the meal package the food was amazing and delicious

I liked we could park our camper there, the dining was great and the reception service was great even though we were put in the wrong (smaller) room to start. It was easily fixed. Happy to stay again.

Stayed here for one night recently for a work trip. Had to change rooms three times. First room had a leaky toilet which we couldn't fix. Second room had hair all over the bed sheets - it smelt and looked like it hadn't been changed from the previous guest. The third room was to an acceptable standard finally - or so I thought. Air con hadn't been cleaned since god knows when. When I woke up I had dust all over my hair from the air con blowing on me the whole night. I was breathing in this dust all night! The plants all out the front of the hotel were dead. Food was below average. Really disappointed with the accomodation. Definitely will not be back here again.

poorly maintained

I have stayed at Mia Mia from when it was new to today. First I was saddened by all the dead pot plants out the front that were once thriving. Going by all the weeds and leaves and rubbish from driveway to all garden beds there is no gardener anymore.
The food menu has become less appealing, ate elsewhere.
Room is reasonable, but signs of previous person here by half empty conditioner bottles.
Front reception lady was nice.
Only good thing is a really comfortable bed.
It's diving down and am considering staying here again- feels like a pub quality stay.

Starting to go backwards

We have stayed here on a couple of weekend trips to Newman and it has been good . On this occasion we booked 2 rooms through Agonda and paid for the rooms. When arrived there was a mix up with the bookings and took a while to get a room . The rooms had not been cleaned well, with old soap left in the shower and still signs of the last guest that stayed there . One of the rooms air con did not work and had to be repaired .
Then we checked out early and our journey home were charged for one of the rooms again. This took approx 2 weeks and several phone calls to sort out a refund.

Starting to slip 

On the outside looks quite nice - typical Pilbara looking hotel... but then you venture into the room..

Small is an understatement - mining size hotel room.

But the cleanliness of the room is horrible. Mould, dirt etc... something seriously needs to be done! 

We won’t ever be back.

Dirty...... such a shame

The booking was made and on the receipt it said Foxtel. Nope no Foxtel...also on the website it says Wizzie Tv. Nope no No Wizzie either. No mention of rooms not being serviced daily either. Now I remember why I don't stay here any more...

Not so good

It's a dirty parking lot, glass scraps, maybe broken cars, mostly overcrowded and too little staff in the evening, and then the fire alarm rings in our cabin at night. It's 2:30 and after an hour and a half, I've been able to disable it.

Just not.

If you're traveling and looking for a good, clean hotel in Newman, it's well maintained here. The room I had was simple but clean, the air conditioning was super quiet. The hotel is apparently mostly used by employees of the nearby mines, so it's mostly dead during the day, and if you go out for breakfast a little later, you don't meet many people. Breakfast is more like the staff of a mine, the whole thing works more like a canteen and not a hotel breakfast room. There are toast recipes except vegetables and ground butter, you just have to find them, or ask about it.
