Platinum City Serviced Apartments

We stayed in a 1-bed apartment for over a month from Feb/2018 to Mar/2018 at the La Trobe Tower hosted by UrbanMinder. The check-in process was quite easy because the host sent us the required information prior to our arrival. Also, I requested an apartment in the uppermost floors at the time of booking, and the host was kind enough to offer us an apartment in the 29th floor with an exquisite view of Melbourne. The apartment, though small, is self contained, i.e. you have everything you need for a short stay - from cooking utensils, fridge, microwave oven etc. to bath, laundry etc. The default WiFi connection was pretty patchy, but upon reporting this, they provided us with a paid connection for free! The location (La Trobe Street) is at the heart of Melbourne CBD and close to all major tram stops (Flag Staff, Elizabeth Street, and Swanston Street) and the central train station (within 2 min of walking). There are plenty of places to eat and do shopping, e.g. The Bourke Street Mall is within walking distance. The apartment in the 29th floor is quiet, and has no issues with noise. One thing to keep in mind is that UrbanMinder does not own/manage the entire Tower itself, and so talking to the building manager on an issue you might have is fruitless. Always deal with the UrbanMinder staff and they, as demonstrated in my case, would be more than happy to help you. The one-bed room apartment is mostly suitable for solo travellers and couples, and if you have kids, two-bed room apartments are recommended. This was an excellent stay, and would love to own an apartment like that!
