We stayed here last year and heard that these guys are renovating. I can't wait to see the new rooms. Close to shops only 10 mins walk this hotel has everything you need at a reasonable Tarif we will come again.

We needed to stay somewhere for 1 night on our way to Cairns and arrived very late. They were very accommodating and pleasant at the front desk - she gave us lots of tips on things to do and recommended tours in Airlie Beach. The room itself was tiny but pretty clean. The one downfall of our room was that the walls are paper thin, sounds like everything outside is happening right beside you! The wifi did not work for us, not sure if it was only in one area but we could not use it in our room.

Nice and Clean for a short stay

The promotional photos you see is the manager's accommodation with the motel units at the rear. The car parking area (from where the units are entered) is uninspiring, bordering on scruffy, but the units whilst basic are clean and adequate. Our studio unit had a double and single bed, TV, tea/coffee making facilities. microwave and toaster. Somewhat oddly the appliances, crockery and cutlery are in the same wall unit as where you hang your clothes. The only place to wash your dishes was the bathroom basin and no tea towel was supplied. There are three barbeque facilities on the property for guests use. The Mt Pleasant shopping centre is only 1km away.

Best as an overnighter only.

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we needed a stop over after a drive from Cairns to Gladstone. I found this place as it was relatively cheap off bookings.com.

The room was very outdated and uncomfortable. The bathroom was filthy and had someone else's hair on the wall. The shower was small as well. The walls were so thin you could hear EVERYTHING: morons squealing their tires down the roads, people in the rooms next door and people in the bathroom (seriously the windows didn't close so you could hear it all!) The beds weren't the worst so it was a decent sleep there,  but the area and motel were do dodgy it made for an uncomfortable night. We couldn't wait to just get out of there.

The only pro was the lovely customer service over the phone.

Seriously though, spend the extra couple bucks and stay somewhere a tad nicer.
