Very friendly hosts, knowledgeable of many useful things and local areas.
Peaceful and quiet,very relaxing spot,just wish I had been able to stay longer. The icing on the cake for me was it was pet friendly and unlike other places didn't charge up because I was traveling with my pet.
Highly recommended.

My partner and I stayed in the Kookaburra Cabin at Russellee for one night to break up the drive from Sydney to Melbourne during Easter. We arrived at 9pm but Dorothy, the lovely owner, was quick to welcome us inside and show us to our cabin. Inside the kitchen had everything we might need for a meal - a portable stovetop, pots, pans, plates and a full sized fridge. Everything was tidy and welcoming and we felt like we were staying with our grandparents. The following morning, at Dorothy’s suggestion, we got up early and walked into the reserve behind the property where we were able to watch the sunrise over the mountains (spectacular!) with the company of Dorothy’s beautiful and very friendly border collies. There were crooks and sheep right near the cabin and we felt very much as home and welcome to come and go as we pleased. We’ll be keeping Russellee in mind as a great spot to stop and rest weary eyes, just off the Hume. 

Lovely spot on the edge of town. We took a bit of a detour off the road between Melbourne and Canberra and had a relaxing time. The apartment was very specious and filled with lots of useful information about the surrounding district.

Would like to stay again. Really nice , peaceful. Wanted somewhere off road on trip to Melbourne. I loved the stuffed toys. We stayed in the main house, separate area.  I stayed a while ago and forgot where we stayed..now I'll remember

Our room was huge with Fully self contained cooking facilities. Room was so comfortable and welcoming with everything we needed for yummy breakfasts.Dorothy even gave us fresh eggs from her hens.
Dvds games and chocolates made our stay extra special.
